Linda had no idea we were trading until she walked into her second birthday surprise celebration in a huge lodge resting in Wanaka, New Zealand. A whole group of close friends and family were cooking a massive dinner when she entered and the surprise would have been right on track if it wasn’t for the…drinking that happened before her appearance. For a woman that does everything for others and nothing for herself, she deserved this weekend like you wouldn’t believe. 

The Pixel Trade was to capture the whole weekend. It started with the unannounced arrival of her daughter from Australia (trade 35), followed by the Wanaka lodge and finally a massive dinner celebration with even more friends. Looking over a rainy lake and snowy mountains beyond it was my responsibility to photograph the entire story, I had to deny glass after glass of wine being offered my way…well not all the time.
