Zindzi Okenyo, actress

The word cool gets thrown around as much as a hot potato before it ends up on your plate with sour cream, chives and devoured. It wasn’t until I met Zindzi that this word finally had a human being worthy enough to be titled the woman that owns ‘cool’. The past shows her involvement with NIDA, Sydney Theatre Company, Play School….(the list will not fit).

The Pixel Trade was focused on Zindzi’s new music. OKENYO is the band name and I was to photograph a rehearsal at her pad in Sydney. The rest of the time was focused on producing a teaser video to give a taste of what is to come with the music. This taste is the nutmeg of a far more complex dish, which we’ll have to wait patiently for as it cooks.
