Pia Hambour, cafe owner
George March, cafe owner
Pia & George packed their swags, left Adelaide town and headed for the city of Melbourne. There was a reason for this, a very good reason. Tomboy: a new cafe on Smith st which the girls have started up from scratch using recycled materials and a smoke load of Adelaide love. What was supposed to have been a shopfront for their famous Box Brownies has become something much greater and only growing big and tall.
The Pixel Trade was to photograph the faces, spaces and details on day one and the next sunny day make a video following the journey of the cupcakes and brownies from the KitchenAid to the dressing rooms of Topshop. Cupcakes for the girls, brownies for the men. The 3rd trade in a row in the setting of food, my stomach couldn’t be happier.
