Peter Cortez, co founder Mizaplas

Peter sent a carrier pigeon before my arrival in Brooklyn with a message: ‘What food do you miss and really want to eat?’ On my arrival he had a big dinner prepared and it suitably became the beginning of a trade that had a huge impact on the people I have met in New York City. Peter is the co-founder of Mizaplas, an app and digital production company, so on top of a smorgasbord of food and new friends, I also had the ability to see some of their finest and newest work.

The Pixel Trade started with photographing Williamsburg. As someone who had never seen the sidewalks of this part of the planet before, Mr. Cortez wanted to see my interpretation of the area. The second part was shooting a series of his apps including Recco, City Doping, Daily Specials, B-Bot and my FAVOURITE app to date, Sara Jenkins’ New Italian Pantry… which you need to get right now.
