Jessica Grubaugh, personal trainer

Laughter is what Jessica is good at, amongst other things. I don’t think a sentence came out of my mouth that didn’t make her laugh, and I’m not what you consider a funny guy. I arrived in San Francisco just in time to celebrate Halloween, American style, for the first time in my life. Problem was my outfit had to be found in a woman’s costume trunk.

The Pixel Trade was photographing promo shots for Jess’ new personal training venture called Jessie Jo Fitness. She got so used to me asking her to run for photographs that in the end when I lifted the camera she kicked into gear and ran off. You can imagine the fun you can have with this sort of reaction.
