Helen Cooper, Ashley’s PA + former miss Australia

Probably the biggest title yet, Ashley Cooper has done it all and for a man in his 70’s, he has absolutely no intention of slowing down. Ashley won all 3 major tennis tournaments in 58’ becoming number 1 in the world and turned pro in the early 60’s. During this time Helen showed what she was made of by becoming miss Australia in 58′ receiving her trophy from Elizabeth Taylor. You can imagine how crazy that year would have been for the couple, they basically became rockstars to the press. This didn’t change their beat, both Helen and Ashely remain the most unassuming people you can come across.

The Pixel Trade was to spend a day photographing a house of the coopers which they are placing on the market. The trade included flights to Tasmania and Sydney in the near future and a few interesting conversations with the two about their life. The last two images are photographs of photographs showing the events mentioned above.
