Walking into Ladro Restaurant in Melbourne, one has no choice but to float on a flour cloud of bliss. Italian food. The smells, the sounds, the whole aesthetic of Ladro creates the desire to pull up a chair, a bed and an office and never leave... turn it into your home. Ingrid comes from a design background and has a tonne of knowledge in Italian food; Sean is the man who owns the floors and front of house, the guy who stops the people with IKEA boxes sneaking in and trying to set up base. This way Ladro remains as one of the best Italian restaurants in Melbourne.
The Pixel Trade was a nice long evening walking around the space pretending to take photographs because lets face it, with all that food floating around, I was finding it hard to concentrate on the interiors. Because this was a trade I had to suck it up and make sure I photographed the details and moments in the restaurant...that is now my home...just putting it out there again. We also created a short little stop-motion of a pizza being made and served up for us to devour, you can see this just before the ‘PORT’ image close to the bottom of the trade.
