The De Cosse Brissac Family

New Zealand trades were a somewhat unique setup. The necessities, which is a requirement for each trade to provide, was being split up like a white wedding cake amongst each other. As a result the trades were not only doing an exchange with me but each other as well. The De Cosse Brissac family were what I termed my ‘host’ trade, providing a tin roof and most of the amazing food going into my body. All the other trades that I did whilst in New Zealand provided things appropriate to their businesses or specialties, to my host trade. For example boxes of Muffins from Cup & Cake (trade 65), A full course dinner at Amifield Winery (trade 66), some women’s accessories from Funkee (trade 69)... You get the picture.

So my end of The Pixel Trade was capturing and providing my host trade with a selection of images from some of the trekking routes, Queenstowns fine surroundings and and the incredible beauty of New Zealand. One of the most unforgettable shoots was a 4 day hike on the Kepler trail which went from wet rain forests to traversing some of the highest peaks and ending with a skinny dip session in glacial water... Adios manhood!
