I remember sitting upstairs from Vudu Cafe meeting Rachel for the first time and feeling this cool breeze channeling through the open doors. The kitchen was right behind me and whilst I tried so hard to focus on the brief Rachel was giving me I couldn’t help my mind from wondering to the kitchen and picturing the chefs platting up some of the finest tastes in Queenstown. I couldn’t help it, so I just let it happen. 

Vudu Cafe is a two part love story. Love number one is Vudu Cafe on Beach St, a small cosy space when the wind, rain and cold is around or a tropical corner when the sun and heat are dripping off your forehead. Love number two is Vudu Cafe and Larder just around the corner. The Larder is right on the water and opens up to buskers, jet boats and the mountain ranges across lake Wakatipu. Now I’ve described the setting, my task was to capture all of this... and eat the food surrounding me.
