‘Ok next dish’...
My eyes were certainly bigger than my stomach, but I figured if the belly got full then I would continue to feed my eyes with the colours and aesthetics. The next thing that hobbled into my mind at the speed of a human with walking stick and kettle was, ‘is wine really good for me or am I being optimistic?’. Whatever the answer one thing is for certain, the food that Jay was sending from the kitchen and the wine that dripped from the bottles was nothing short of a perfect day in Queenstown, New Zealand.
The Pixel Trade brought my feet through some grape vines, my mouth to the finest food and wine and my cameras to full capacity. I spent the whole day photographing the interiors, exteriors, food and surroundings of Amisfield Wine Company. As part of the trade I was able to take the family providing shelter for dinner to what Amisfield called ‘Trust the chef’. It was exactly that, you trust the chef and what he cooks, no decisions need to be made. All you have to do is sit back in the setting sun, next to the lavender plants buzzing with the yellow honey makers.
