When one of the first things Billy shows you in Oceanside is a shack from Top Gun, you know it’s only going to lead in one direction...three days full of excitement, fascination and avocados. Billy and Amber live on an avocado orchard just out of Oceanside. They are two people who balance each other out like a perfectly matched seesaw pair. The feeling of walking amongst hundreds of avocado trees with these two, after spending the morning in Los Angeles, was like stepping into the garden with Adam and Eve.

The Pixel Trade was full of the most diverse subjects. Photographing the orchard and all the details around the property. A quick shoot with Amber to showcase one of her sculptural designs within the garden of Eden. A sneaky drive back to Los Angeles to capture Billy playing some tunes for Justin Willman, the host of Sleight of Mouth, in the back of a comic book shop. Just to top this risotto off I decided to put together a short clip of my time amongst the avocados.
