Bella Vista Designs
The calendar said it was the 31st of December. It was right. The end of the year was here and it was time to get amongst the celebrations. On this night some people choose to go to bed before the clock hits 12. Others sit at home comfortably watching the fireworks around the world whilst the couch beneath them is being clawed by their rebellious cat, Tom. Most people hit the town and look for opportunities to party into the new year and celebrate the closing of an another. Some find the nearest human to kiss, others carry over the human they’ve been kissing for the last year, into the new year... There are probably 325 other things that people do on this final night but I wanted to rattle of a few.
The Pixel Trade was an invitation to photograph a warehouse party for Bella Vista Designs in Santa Barbara. All the ingredients were there for a great photographic soup. As the night went on, so to did the consumption of our good friend gin. The result was the mind confidently believing I was standing as still as a tripod when in fact, I was swaying like the reeds found on the banks of the river Nile.
