Hazel McCague | Sculptural Designer

I watched Hazel build a set that had a nautical undertone in the design and all I was thinking as I watched her staple and hammer was, ‘Is it possible to take that on the water and sail away?’ I was never going to find out because the set was built for the band ‘Walking On Cars’ and they probably wouldn’t have liked the idea of me sailing off with their visual piece.

The Pixel Trade was to capture all of this. The building of the set, the band playing to the wild crowd who were like a pack of monkeys going nuts over a bunch of yellow bananas. Following this was a long walk through Dublin with Hazel, who assured me we wouldn’t get lost...
