When the cold starts to move into New York City, outerwear begins the fast migration from the wooden trunk to your finger tips and around your body. One particular fashion label that understands this migration, like David Attenborough understands the movement of elephants, is Brooklyn Industries. Based in New York City, Brooklyn Industries has leather and cotton for both men, women & kids. If extraterrestrial life came to Earth it would probably be for their designs more so than gold or diamonds. So now I’ve successfully described one of my trades using David Attenborough and extraterrestrial life in the same paragraph.
The Pixel Trade started with brunch in Williamsburg followed by three of us standing under an old factory which rested above the murky river separating Manhattan and Brooklyn. Over to Dumbo to gallivant on the rooftop of their office building before ending at their Christmas party surrounded by amazing food and company. My task was to capture all of this and I did so very snuggly with the jacket they gave me as part of our trade.
